Wholesale manufacturing, where the latest fashions are made for mass production on the high street, this is the largest part of the fashion industry and where most employment is. With wholesale manufacturing the designer must be able to predict the season’s trends and also be able to design for certain age ranges or price ranges that the company’s image dictates.
