Did you decide on your career path or did it all happen by accident?
Not really ... after joining the Yoga classes I started to develop other interests, but eventually after being to India and back to London many things just started flowing over.
How did you get your "Glamour Job" ?
Years ago a client, who was also a member of the 'Mayfair Health Club', introduced me to the club as a 'worthy acquisition'.
What does the job involve?
The job involves a great love for people and understanding of human nature. You must be professional, trustworthy, reliable, patient, caring, punctual and a good listener, to know what the client wants to achieve and expect of your work.
Describe a typical day at work.
There is no such thing as a typical day work when you are a mobile massage therapist/yoga teacher on call. You must be ready and available to what the day has in store for you. Sometimes nothing ... Sometimes sooooooo much happens.
What do you like most about the job?
I love human beings and I am most grateful to God to allow me to have such an unconditional love and helpful part in someone's life.
What don’t you like about your job – if anything?
When sometimes nothing happen ...
During your teenage years did you have much vocational guidance from school, university, family or friends? What was your biggest influence?
My mother for her one pointed mind and believes that everything is possible and my father (passed away last august) for his love of great humanitarians. He knew lots of great speeches by heart.
If you took end of school examinations did you get exam results you were happy with from your education?
Not sure ... about 18, then I started my career as Air Stewardess. The results were okay ... most average I believe..
Do you think that what you studied in school or in your further education was right for the career you are in now? Any regrets?
No regrets ... not much at all was relevant to what I do now.
Have you taken further studies since leaving secondary or tertiary school. If yes, what did you study and why did you decide you needed more qualifications?
I did the IATA course ... but travel agency was a boring experience, Lasted a very short while. Also did the city&guilds 'The Further and Adult Education Teachers Certificate'
What was your first job?
Air Stewardess
What has been your most bizarre or challenging job to date?
Private staff to a Turkish singer/actress for almost 1 year, as a massage therapist/yoga teacher.
What is your ultimate goal.... is this it, or do you have a pinnacle you have yet to reach?
Private staff in Los Angeles :)))))))))
What are your top tips for personal success?
Passion for what you do ... it will get you far because the interest in learning and developing is always there and the willingness to listen and learn are of great value.
Any comments?
If you decide to work so closely with human beings ... there must not be prejudices of any type ... they come in all shapes, sizes and attitudes with lots of baggage's. Be open minded and respectful of another one's right of just being.
