Study and Career History
I have done a lot of stage work. I once played Cliff Richard in "Oh Boy: The Musical". I played the lead in a theatrical version of Dungeons & Dragons. I Have also appeared on Dishes, The Bill and I have made a short film called Killing Joe. I am also writing a feature called "The Programme" I am now hoping to become a film critic.
How long have you been doing the job?
20 years.
Did you decide on your career path or did it all happen by accident?
I always wanted to do it.
How did you get your "Glamour Job" ?
I do have an agent but some of the parts I got were just blind luck, Like "Killing Joe" a short film I did. I got that without an Audition.
T.V.I Actor's studio's Alex Edwards" was just shot while I was doing The summer programme there. I also did "Park High" & "Karaoke night at the Ceili House" because I was at those locations at the time.
What does the job involve?
Playing you're Character and knowing your lines.
Describe a typical day at work.
Turn up, do your scenes & rehearse if necessary.
What do you like most about the job?
The idea of suspending reality and becoming whatever you wanted to be.
What don’t you like about your job – if anything?
It is near impossible for someone like me to get into.
During your teenage years did you have much vocational guidance from school, university, family or friends? What was your biggest influence?
The only person who really helped me the most in my childhood was Anna Scher, when I went to the Anna Scher Theatre.
If you took end of school examinations did you get exam results you were happy with from your education?
I wasn't really happy with my school life at all. They were very discouraging at Park High.
Do you think that what you studied in school or in your further education was right for the career you are in now? Any regrets?
No
Have you taken further studies since leaving secondary or tertiary school. If yes, what did you study and why did you decide you needed more qualifications?

What was your first job?
Radio Presenter on hospital radio.
What has been your most bizarre or challenging job to date?
None
What is your ultimate goal.... is this it, or do you have a pinnacle you have yet to reach?
My ultimate goal is to be a Film Critic.
What are your top tips for personal success?
Drop out of High School as soon as possible.
