Study and Career History
When I was 18 I decided to apply for the job of flight attendant....Suddenly they accepted me! Now I'm working as a flight attendant for more than 5 years. In the same time in 1998 when I was 18 again I was accepted in Electrical Engineering Faculty in Tirana Polytechnic University. I'm in the last year now, and will graduate after a while! I must say that it's hard to make school and work together but...

How long have you been doing the job?
5 Years.

Did you decide on your career path or did it all happen by accident?
It happened all by accident...A cousin of mine working in airport told me to apply, so I did it!

How did you get your "Glamour Job" ?
Just did the normal interview and after that the training course.

What does the job involve?
Handling passengers.

Describe a typical day at work.
Wake up at 6 in the morning, the car comes to pick you at 7,than you go to the airport (I'm chief of cabin now) make briefing to the crew, and than....in flight !

What do you like most about the job?
The fact that you are in contact with different people and feeling responsible about their lives.

What don’t you like about your job – if anything?
The salary.

During your teenage years did you have much vocational guidance from school, university, family or friends? What was your biggest influence?
My family.

If you took end of school examinations did you get exam results you were happy with from your education?
I will finish my education this year! Yeah, I was happy with the results!

Do you think that what you studied in school or in your further education was right for the career you are in now? Any regrets?
No regrets, I'm young, I can make another career, but what I'm studying in my school is not so useful in my profession.

Have you taken further studies since leaving secondary or tertiary school. If yes, what did you study and why did you decide you needed more qualifications?
Yeah,I've been in several seminars outside Albania about my education, like in Montenegro, Turkey etc..

What was your first job?
Flight Attendant.

What has been your most bizarre or challenging job to date?
None

What is your ultimate goal.... is this it, or do you have a pinnacle you have yet to reach?
My ultimate goal is to work as engineer, possibly in administrative position.

What are your top tips for personal success?
Just be yourself.
